We have an opening for 2 positions in our dairy - to ensure that our milk bottles are washed, sterilised and ready for filling with milk so we can share it across Scotland.
The shifts are 7 hours long from 0500 hrs to 1200 hrs Mondays and Wednesdays and from 0500 hrs to 0900 hrs on Saturdays; making a total of 14 hours per week for 2 people
The process is to collect bottles and containers from an outside area that have been returned from our milk delivery runs; the bottles are inspected for breakages and placed into two groups - ones which need intensive cleaning and ones which can be washed straight away.
Then, you wash the containers using various machine and equipment, before date code after inspecting their cleanliness. You would then store them in a clean room for our bottle filling team to begin filling for the day.
Our on-site facilities are basic and the position is open to the elements, but you will be part of a passionate team working towards a vision of sustainability for Scottish dairy.
Certificated training will be provided for lifting & carrying and also chemical handling due to the types of washing fluid we use.
You'll see all parts of Mossgiel - from cows supplying milk, our electric vans leaving and returning from delivering milk across Scotland to hearing of our challenges and triumphs as part of our close team.
