This page was first published when Mossgiel was moving away from single-use plastic milk packaging. That commitment shaped our returnable glass bottle system and the reusable formats developed for larger customers.

Reduce
Use less disposable material wherever a practical reusable system can do the job.
Return
Returnable containers only work when bottles and tubs make their way back into the system.
Reuse
Containers are cleaned, checked and prepared to go around again rather than becoming waste after one use.
Honest progress
We are proud of what reusable packaging has achieved, but we will not pretend every environmental question is solved by one bottle. Transport, washing, breakage, materials and customer behaviour all matter. Our job is to keep improving the whole system and to be clear about how it works.
